Martha Ballou is our lead attorney, and has been practicing for over twenty five years. Her practice has focused on women in transition, whether that transition is marriage, separation, divorce, adoption, custody, or domestic violence. Martha has argued and won cases at the appellate level.

She is an active member of the New York and Minnesota bars, the New York Women’s Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers association, and LE-GAL. She is active in the Lower Manhattan Democrats organization and the National Lawyers Guild, New York Chapter. She holds a Juris Doctor and Masters in Social Work.
