Julie joined Ballou Law Partners in 2007 as an associate and managing attorney.
Julie graduated cum laude from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland where she received her BA in political science. She received her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. While in law school, Julie studied comparative international law in London and Scotland and served on her school’s board of the American Bar Association Law Student Division and American Trial Lawyers Association (now the American Association for Justice). In addition, Julie volunteered for the Neighborhood Justice Center, Volunteer Lawyers Association, and StreetLaw. She received the Minnesota Justice Foundation Award for completing over 50 hours of volunteer legal service.
Julie currently provides pro bono assistance to Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights and the Immigrant Law Center and volunteers at La Mision Hispanic Resource Center in Richfield. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Ramsey County Bar Association, and Hennepin County Bar Association. She is also a certified neutral in family mediation, civil mediation and arbitration.
Julie enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
